You can schedule a demo of our software by either calling our office at 800-228-3670, our sales rep (Frank Alger) directly at 508-695-2615, or by filling out the demo request form here on our website. If you fill out the demo request form, you will be contacted shortly to schedule a demo.

Call us at 800-228-3670 and ask to be invoiced. We will extend your Demo period and activate you when we receive your payment. This can all be handled over the phone. We accept Visa and MasterCard.

After installing or updating GenX, it says it can't find the linked tables. What do I do?    Back to Top
You have to link the GenX program to your data files before you begin using GenX2005. Click OK on the pop up box and browse to where GenXData is located. Double-click on GenXData.mdb to link the program with your data files. If you do not know where GenXData is located but you know that it is located on your computer somewhere, use the Windows Search on the start menu and search for GenXData.mdb. If you share a database with others, click on the GenX2005 banner at the top of their opening screen, and a screen will pop up telling you the location of the shared database. If you still can’t find it, contact your computer tech or call us at 800-228-3670 for assistance.


I get a gray screen when I try to link GenXData to the GenX program. What is happening?    Back to Top
Some systems take a long time to link to the database. You might get a gray screen along with a message not to close out of it. Be patient and the program will link up. Some systems can take a few minutes to perform this task. If you inadvertently close out of the gray screen, you’ll have to rerun the update, even if you snapped into the program. Call us for assistance if you do this. You will also get the same gray screen when you click on "Print the Selected Forms" for the first time after updating. Here again, be patient.


How do I know where my GenX data files are located?    Back to Top
Find out where your GenX data files are located by going to the initial screen of the program and click on the big “GenX2005” near the top. You see the location of both your Quicken and GenX data files.


How do I back up my data in GenX?    Back to Top
You will want to do this before you run the update. You can use burning software to save a copy of GenXdata.mdb to a CD. Better still, you could copy the data file onto a removable flash drive.


I get a runtime error 2465 after I update GenX. What does that mean?    Back to Top
This error is usually caused by failing to update the data structures after running an update. See your update instructions or give us a call.

I have the Escrow Option for GenX. How do I know where my Quicken files are located?    Back to Top
Find out where your Quicken files are located by going to go to the initial screen of the program and clicking on the big “GenX2005” near the top. That will tell you the location of both your Quicken and GenX data files. To change this location, go to Utilities, Company Maintenance, Escrow Accounting, and change what it says under “Directory to store QIF files for Quicken.” Don’t do this without good reason.

Can I e-mail the HUD out of GenX?    Back to Top
Yes, if you have installed pdfFactory. Simply print the HUD to pdfFactory and click “Send” when you are at the print preview screen.


Can I copy and paste within the HUD?    Back to Top
Yes. To Copy: use "Control C". To Paste: use "Control V".


Do the title insurance rates update automatically in GenX?    Back to Top
No. That information is stored in the database, not the program, so keeping up with Title Insurance Rate changes is the end users responsibility. The latest rates are always posted on our web site. You can either view or update them in your program by logging in here. You will need the last four digits of your Company's phone number and your GenX2005 Serial Number. This number can be found on the initial screen of our program.


How do I add a new title company or get documents for an additional state?    Back to Top
The cost for a new Title Company or for an additional state is $150.00. The entire process can be handled over the phone. We will simply give you an activation code.


If I print out labels, what size do I need?    Back to Top
The labels should be 1 1/3" by 4". Xerox LW0120 and Avery 5162 are two types of labels that can be used.


How do I order checks that are compatible with GenX?    Back to Top
You do not have to order your checks from us. However, if you decide to, you can download a check order form from this web site by clicking here and scrolling to the bottom. Download it, fill it out, and fax it over to us for your first order. Subsequent orders can be placed by calling into our office and simply telling us how many checks you need. We’ll take care of the rest.


How do I order the 1099 forms that are compatible with GenX?    Back to Top
Be aware that you can only print these forms out of GenX if you don’t exceed 250 closings per year. If that’s the case, go to the home page of this web site and click on the big green banner that reads "Click Here To Order Tax Forms and Other Business Supplies". At the top of the screen that you come to, you'll see a "Product Search" option. Enter the product number of the form you need and click "Go". The product numbers you may need are TF5160(red federal copy) and TF5161(black borrower's copy). The order quantities you select from refer to sheets of three. An order of 100/$26.00 means 34 sheets of three, costing $26.00 plus shipping and handling. You’ll then have to enter the required information, chose a method of shipment, and submit your order. Our GenX2005 software will print the 1099-S information on these forms. GenX2005 will also print out the annual summary information you will need to fill out Form 1096. To order this form, enter TF5100 into the product search box.
